We were caught by surprise on New Year's Eve when the view from Mark and Connie's balcony, like ours on the 39th floor, turned out to be so spectacular. Michael just used the video function on his Lumix to capture at least a sense of this truly unforgettable experience. All the small flashes you can see are individual fireworks or kembang api (kembang=flower; api=fire) going off in local neighborhoods.
