I came across this in Deborah Orr's column in today's Guardian. She refers to it as a "wise adage," but it's one I've never come across:
Resentment is like drinking poison, then waiting for the other person to die.
I'll continue to dump similar definitions in here as I come across them, including some zingers from The Devil's Dictionary.
